Frequently Asked Questions
Can I drop my dog off before or after hours?
Yes, you can schedule a time before or after our regular office hours to drop off or pick up your dog at our West Atlanta location for a small fee. Check out our Services section for more details.
What vaccinations are required for my dog?
Your dog has to be current on all standard vaccinations such as rabies, kennel cough etc.
Copies of the vaccination expiration will be required prior to drop off.
My dog does not get along with other dogs, will he/she have to be kept separated and alone all day?
We understand that not every dog enjoys being around a large number of other dogs.
We meet each individual dog’s needs and ensure they are comfortable and happy. If your dog does not play well with others or does better with only one or two other dogs, we will accommodate your pet. They will get extra time with our staff to get the same stimulation as those dogs that like to play with others and will still be able to enjoy play time in the yards even if it is without other dogs.
My dog takes several medications, will you be able to administer them at the prescribed times?
Yes, your dog’s needs will be outlined during or prior to drop off and a specific schedule will be generated for your dog. Medicines will be administered as directed by you.
My dog does best with his toys and bed, can I bring toys and bedding from home?
Yes, you can bring any toys and bedding that your dog is used to. We ask that it is not anything that is easily destructible or can be a choking hazard. Dog beds, sturdy toys, chews, treats are welcome. Quality Time Dog Boarding will provide an elevated dog bed as needed.
Should I bring my dog’s food?
Yes, your dog will do better if no changes are made to their diet. It prevents upset stomachs and will keep them to their routine. If your dog should run out of food or have issues eating, we will feed our home recipe which consists of boiled chicken or turkey with sweet potatoes or pumpkin.
My dog is used to going on regular walks and I would like him to get the same kind of exercise, are you able to take my dog for walks during his stay?
Yes, we are minutes away from Sweetwater Creek State Park and your dog is able to participate in field trips as often as you like. Check out our Services page to learn more.
I want my dog to be able to participate in daycare several days a week, do I have to buy a weekly package?
No, we have several packages available that can be tailored to fit your needs. Check out our Pricing page to learn more.
If my dog is boarding, does he have to interact with the daycare dogs as well?
Your dog’s stay will be tailored to his or her needs. If your dog likes to play with others, we will introduce him or her safely to other dogs in our care and allow them to interact. Generally, we will keep the daycare and boarding dogs separated to ensure a manageable number of dogs at all times. Our several play yards allow us to give the dogs the freedom to play with others or to hang out in a yard with only one or two other dogs - or alone - whatever is best for their comfort level. We frequently rotate the dogs through the different yards as they all have different, interactive setups that allow the dogs to explore and be stimulated. Check out our Services page to learn more.
What paperwork is required prior to my dog boarding or participating in daycare?
Vaccination records and general intake forms are required. You will receive a copy of our policies and procedures and we want to learn as much as possible about your dog so a detailed form with likes/dislikes, special needs etc. is required upon the first visit to our facility. You can find these documents by going to our Forms section.
I want my dog to be in an environment where the staff knows and pays attention to him. How many dogs do you board at any given time to ensure he can get that one-on-one attention?
Quality Time Dog Boarding has 16 suites for overnight boarding that will accommodate no more than 16 dog families. If families have more than one dog, we allow more than one dog per pet suite. Our facility is specifically geared towards a smaller number of dogs to be able to give that one-on-one attention they deserve.
I have a puppy and need basic obedience and socialization training; do you offer that?
Yes, we have several different training packages that can be tailored to fit your needs. Contact us today to find out what would be best for your specific dog.
My dog has behavior issues that I would like to address but he’s already older, are you able to help with that?
Yes, we tailor our training packages specific to your situation after we evaluate your dog and the behavior that is causing trouble. Contact us today to find out what would be best for your specific dog.
